"There is a destiny that makes us brothers:
None goes his way alone:
All that we send into the lives of others
Comes back into our own."
a poem by Edwin Markham taken from the book, " A Season of Life" which provides the daily motivation and inspiration for this program. It is recommended reading to all members of the Cape Crusader Family.

So, you think you want to wear the cape?
Tryouts for the 4th, 6th and 10th grade teams will take place on February 19th & 26th @ 3:00pm @ Cape Henlopen High School. Anyone interested in participating on these teams is invited to try out. There is a $20.00 fee to tryout. Everyone who makes the team is required to pay $300.00 (minus the $20 received at tryouts) and agrees to participate in our various fund-raisers.
6th and 10th grade players will practice twice during the week and once on Saturday and play an average of two AAU tournaments a month. 4th grade players will practice once during the week and once on Saturday and play an average of one AAUtournament a month.
We understand that some players also play spring sports; players are expected to make all practices and games unless excused ahead of time by the coaching staff.. This is a serious commitment and ask that the players and their families understand that if there is a conflict between a tournament and another activity that the player choose the tournament. If you cannot make this commitment please don't take a spot away from another player who is prepared to make the Crusaders their first priority. A full spring/summer practice schedule will be posted soon.
Special note: The AAU now uses a grade system instead of an age system. In order to participate a player must be in the specific grade, (4th, 6th or 10th), or a lower grade as of October 1st of the school year.
