Congratulations to Tyzhir Morris, he was selected from nearly 9,700 applicants to represent Sussex Central on the National All American Scholar Second Team; this is a great honor and its an exceptional opportunity for him. Friends and Family made it possible for him and his family to travel to Chicago, Illinois where he was able to accept his National All America Scholar award. Amazingly, Tyzhir was again selected as one of the 5 "2011 Scholar presenters" after drafting an essay on "What it means to be an All American Scholar Athlete"; he was given the opportunity to meet Jerry Kurz (commissioner of Arena Football), Tammy Williams (USA softball), Prince Amukamara (Cornerback for the New York Giants) and even the "NFL Team of the Year", the Chicago Bears. The highlight of the night was Tyzhir presenting the "Inspiration to Youth Award" to Matt Forte of the Chicago Bears. Backstage the runningbacks (Tyzhir and Mr. Matt Forte) discovered they both enjoy running the sweep. Matt Forte even offered the same advice that parents, educators and the Cape Crusader Family in general emphasis, "Education is not your backup plan, it is the plan".
