CAPE CRUSADER BASKETBALL CLUB
14U TRYOUTS
The Cape Crusader Basketball Club is looking for SERIOUS middle-school basketball players to try out for our AAU travel basketball team. In only our second year the Crusaders have established a reputation for developing and improving the skills of our individual players while building a team concept. More importantly, the coaching staff is dedicated to helping our players develop the personal skills that will help our players be successful in the classroom and off the court as well.
Last year we traveled and competed against the very best AAU teams along the east coast. In only our second year we qualified for and competed in the AAU national championships which took place the Disney Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
If you would like to be a part of building this winning tradition, want to improve your game and are willing to work very hard than you are invited to try-out!

FEE: The fee to play on the team, if any, will be discussed at the tryout.
COMMITMENT: We will practice 3-4 times a week and play in several tournaments throughout the summer. We are looking for players who are COMMITTED and for whom basketball is their athletic priority. Players are expected to be at practice and tournaments unless previously excused by the coaching staff.
AGE DETERMINATION: September 1, 2010 is the determining date according to the AAU. In order to play in the 14u/8th grade division you must be 14 or younger on September 1, 2010 or be enrolled in 8th grade as of March 1, 2010. This is what the AAU refers to as a "grade exception". Please be advised however that the AAU limits the number of grade exceptions so those players wishing to qualify under this exception will be competing for a limited number of spots.
